Yoshida, Lovren and probably Lallana are the obvious choices.

In terms of The English I think Shaw and Cork deserve to get a look in. I think Shaw has a chance, but Cork won't get close. Lambert has a shout simply because he has done fairly well each time he has played for England and that seems to count for a lot. I don't think Rodriguez is good enough and Clyne seems to be no.2 at Saints now so it is doubtful that he will be considered.

Then you have Schneiderlin and Fonte both of whom should be going. The French midfield must be awesome given that he doesn't even get in the squad, so a very slim chance for him. Fonte though, must have a decent chance.

Nearly forgot about Ramirez, I think he'll get a place on the bench. Then, of course, there is Osvaldo. I hope he goes and is brilliant and then we sell him for a huge profit.

Of Saints' English players, Lallana will make the most impact as he will get more game time.

Lambert has obviously not been excelling, but neither has the competition.

    Defoe basically retiring
    Walcott injured.

You'd expect to take at least 3 out and out strikers....Rooney, Sturridge, ????

Lambert has the shirt at the moment and Carroll is probably the only realistic threat between now and May.

We all know from previous England squads throughout the years that club form is only half the story and when you have that foot in the door, then you've a good chance. If he shows good form and fitness in training and perhaps in the match against Denmark then he should get the nod.

Plus he has the intangible of being a good character within the squad and is a player that all England fans would get behind.

Lambert may not be great, but he deserves to go more than Welbeck does.

Welbeck plays on the left, Defoe won't go therefore it's between Lambert and Carroll for one spot.

He is still listed as a striker tho, hence why I put him as one.

He won't. He hasn't featured for England for ages. And playing in the USA (or Canada if we're being pedantic) is not going to help his chances.

Fernandinho is injured so naturally Guly Do Prado will be getting the nod, I imagine.

Gaston Ramirez. He'll probably score against England.

Don't forget Osvaldo playing for Italy...perhaps Lallana and Lambert could take him out in a scissor movement:)
