If there’s a reason or I’m just being thick as **** then I apologise , but why is prediction week 2 starting with games a lot later into the fixtures than week 1?

 

To give everybody time to get their predictions in SS.

 

Ah right , I just thought I was tripping out , fair play.

I originally wanted to pick a set of games from each round of fixtures in the group stages but this became complicated as the groups overlap and the games come thick and fast so there wouldn't have been much time in between each round of predictions. I therefore went for a bunch of games from the first weekend (but wanted to include the tournament opener as well as England's first game) and then the 6 games over the 2nd weekend.

It becomes a bit more structured after this weekend as round 3 will be all the last 16 matches, round 4 all the QFs, round 5 the SFs and round 6 the final and 3rd place play-off

This week's winner is Le Tissier's Laces with 25 points.

Unsurprisingly nobody predicted the correct score in the England game but Le Tissier's Laces picked up 2 bonus points for correctly predicting the score in both the South Korea v Mexico and Germany v Sweden matches.

Loads of correct goalscorer predictions this week with Kane, Lukaku and Mane the popular choices and all but 6 of the 17 participants this week picked up a bonus point for predicting both goalscorers.

The highest scoring games were the Belgium and England matches with quite a few picking these.



Le Tissier's Laces weekly win also sees him take the early lead in the overall table with 4 more weeks still to play.
