What a dreadful game to watch, both teams are petrified to attack. The headbutt situation was hilarious. The ref gives a yellow for a headbutt and Hendo falls on the floor like he was hit by one of Maureen's buses. Sterling and Alli continue to look ****e.

summed up pretty well...

So.... looking at all the matches I genuinely think FIFA have actually tried to confront play acting... they are largely ignoring it... which is the best of a bad lot. If there's contact it's subjective if a player is acting ...

Flaw in this approach is the likes of the Neymar and Hendo incidents .... both red card offences but the reaction, with FIFA clearly telling refs to ignore players acting like pussies....end result is wrong in these 2 situations...

Sterling ****e as predicted.

Alli ****e as predicted.

Why is Kane attempting to play as a creative DM?

Yellow? WTactualF? It's either red or nothing, how as he cone to the conclusion it's a yellow?

I hate referees. Henderson was headbutted and the ref had video evidence and still didn't give a red. What chance would there have been for a booking without going down?
Doesn't make it right but If he didn't go down, the ref wouldn't have stopped it.
Pretty sure the England players would have said he'd been headbutted and it could have been investigated anyway. Maguire was even signalling to the bench to ask them to check the replays. I'm not sure who's allowed to call for these checks, but there was enough going on without Hendo playing dead. Player doesn't have to be on the floor for the ref to check. That's a big benefit of VAR.

And yes, I do think it should be a red. I'm just disappointed in Hendo's reaction.

Sterling has been sh*t, ambitiously sh*t, but still sh*t.

No way is Alli fit. Loftus Cheek would give a bit more force in midfield and is powerful enough to carry the ball. If we carry on like this we will lose 1-0 to a 30 yarder, as our undersized keeper tries to jump higher than any man ever has before in relation to his own height.

Yep.... the idea that a 50% Ali is better than alternatives has surely now been put to bed.

And get rashford on

The referee calls for them and won't listen to players demands, if he did we'd see VAR every minute!

What is wrong with football nowadays that people are justifying play acting to get an opposition player sent off to get any advantage. Even pundits in the studio that wouldn't have done that are justifying the red. Violent conduct? Hardly fecking violent, he just did it rough up Hendo. The game is friggin boring, at least this is making it remotely interesting.

The pussyfication of football.

since Eng are creating the square root of **** all from open play they better hope someone gets free at a corner or the ref gives them a pen.

Obviously we will the batter them but hey at least they will have finally won a KO game.

But based on what? That someone's on the floor and he didn't see why?

If so, that's a dumb system which won't prevent playacting, even if that's not the main intention; although it could be used to solve it if they thought it through properly.

What are you on about? What state do you think the game will be in if you're allowed to just headbutt people off the ball?
