How can one team have so much attacking talent yet look so poor going forward. Sampoli takes off Aguero for some bizarre reason when he gets no service. Messi can't get on the ball either. I was expecting so much more from Argentina but they've been ordinary.
Midfield is poor, so they're struggling to find the forwards. Leads to Messi dropping deeper to get the ball, where he has more players to get past and is eventually smothered out of possession by 2 or 3 players.

Think if you go down and then your 'that bad' you have to go off you shouldn't be allowed to come straight back on,would like to see something like a 3minute delay before your allowed back on.
I would drop Messi into the AM behind the front 2/3 forwards. They have forwards who are very good on the ball/passers, Angel Di Maria being one of those as well. But i agree, their midfield has been average.
Probably couldn't do it for all injuries but the guys that clutch their heads... adopt the yank football approach... have to go into a head assessment tent and do a concussion test.... that'll stop it

Messi used to be a much better player when he was essentially a winger. Ronaldo too, but Ronaldo has a good physicality that helps him play up top for Portugal.
