Very poor penalties. Shame Croatia have scrapped through but I suppose it would be too much too all after who else as already gone out

Yeah

it has to be a taught skill or smash it. at least 3 were so obvious. if your run up givrs the game away you shouldn't be trying to fool a keeper at this level.

If anything it's Southgate error cos tbh if I was analysing England as an opponent I would be putting my counter attack on this side as Maguire is slow with no left foot.. I would try drive at that area.

Wouldn't try go at the right ride of England as walker has the pace to cope. I'd rather pull the forward out into walker for the inevitable cross from the right.

The fact is Maguire is a big classic English cb. If teams are crossing he is happy heading but pull him outbof middle and he is in trouble.

Sane as walker. He is not a cb so will be beaten round the back and in the air.

See, I said smash it but I'd go for placement myself. Reason being, I'm very good at penalties (for my ability level) and I'm confident of putting the ball in the side netting where the keeper won't get it even if they go the right way.

I usually call goal or miss from those run ups too btw, often easy to tell.
