An exact replica of my arse after I had a 2 hour sweaty walk through Paphos in 33 degree heat yesterday
I'm hoping the scores this afternoon are South Korea 1 - 0 Germany Mexico 1 - 0 Sweden This would mean a 3 way tie for second place and, barring poor discipline from Sweden and South Korea in the final matches, Germany going out based on the fair play points system (currently stands at Germany -6, Sweden -3, South Korea -6)
Southgate certainly didn't want to win that game considering the team he put out and the subs he made, so I guess it was a good job well done. Personally, I'd have happily lost that game if it meant we go out to Spain in the semis rather than Brazil in the quarters. It's just the bit in between that is problem since the team isn't that great and a bit of bad luck along the way against Columbia and Sweden/Switzerland could be the difference between losing and advancing.
Can't believe I've heard no mention of Mitro for ages. Is he ok? Did he show his averageness against a big team or something? I'm worried about him.
But that team plays to his strengths and you must have been looking away for each individual miss he made. The only thing I'm taking from this world cup is, Khazri>Mitro
No you asked a question admitting you had not been watching. I've assisted you. Like Mitro did Fulham to promotion
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44651361 What the **** was Martin Keown watching last night? Now I was an advocate of playing Danny Rose. Until last night. He was ****ing garbage. Januzaj had him on toast all night and made him look a moron for the goal. Generally he showed a minimal amount of effort and zest, and looked in some sort of malaise. I don't want to be too harsh as the lad has had his personal issues with depression. However he shouldn't be there and Ryan Bertrand must be absolute livid watching back home. I was frustrated by England last night. Jones showed what we all knew before he came out - he is not one of the better centre halfs in the country. Lascelles over him all day long. Dier was poor and looks like someone who has lost his way and not played/started enough games in the season just gone. Delph? Zero movement. Ran up and down in straight line but not much else. Simply confirmed Shelvey should have been there. I suppose the guy Southgate wanted to compete with Lingard is Oxlade Chamberlain, so he was struggling for a like for like in that regard. I thought the strikers were ****e. Hoddle called it on the commentary, they didn't seem to have the brain power to know where they needed to make their runs, playing in the centre halves all night. Dead easy to mark. All in all I thought England what little strength in depth we have. On the flip side, with the youngsters we have coming through adding depth to this bunch, our next world cup squad should be strong.
Nah he only played when he felt like it. He hurt Tunisia in the second game against Belgium by not trying. Got a consolation but hurt them overall. Typical mackem, lazy and fat from cheesy chips.
@JH stand please ignore all previous comments made by myself on this thread. Mitro is the second Shearer and a snip at the 35m we will try to charge you
