Mason Mount was just mentioned in the commentary and he looks very good.
Always looked a level above everyone in youth games, just had a decent season in Holland and might be getting loaned to Derby.
Probably never get a game for Chelsea, but even that might change if they're no longer spending big.

Yeah Mount impressed me a season or two ago when he played against us in a youth tie.

There's a shed load of talent coming through that will hopefully give Southgate a selection headache by the time Euro 2020 comes around.

I felt Shelvey should've gone when the side was announced. Dare I say it, could Wilshire have been of use? And although I've been massively critical of him this season, had Winks not been injured, he may well have been able to do a job.

As for the next Gazza/ Hoddle, once Super Jack's had a bit of time with Poch, he'll be lighting up that England side.

Lallana is the one I would have taken, I know that he missed most of the season and looked lost when he came on in the champions league final, but he has been good for England and is just about the best passer we have, hopefully better players are coming up through the ranks and will be getting game time soon. There was no point taking Welbeck and Lallana would have got fitter the more he trained.

Only caught the 2nd half but we had obviously lost all momentum by this point of the competition and were back to the usual England. A real reality check that there is little to no creative spark in this England setup. Hard to know where it will come from at the moment but a new season starts within a month and something may develop to give us hope. Hopefully the end of the road for Jones, Cahill, Welbeck and Sterling but somehow doubt it.

Actually, we were much better in the second half........NEVER WATCH THE FIRST HALF. NEVER.

Well today is my big 4 0 so was out having some lunch and resolved myself to not watch the match at all. But curiosity got the better of me for the 2nd half (will I ever learn) and it looked a lot like the last match. Steadily get the ball within 10 yards of the opposition box. Stop. Wonder what to do with ball. Then either give up and go backwards or wait for Belgium's defence to get organised then put in some kind of cross. Frustrating.

Happy birthday. In the first half, Sterling gave the ball away for fun. Rose looked like he'd never played the game before and Phil Jones was on the pitch. I went and hid behind the sofa. After 10 minutes it looked like Lukaku would probably score 5, minimum.

We reached the semi's. Harry's probably the Golden Shoe Winner. Hugo may very well captain a team to a WC win - our first winner since Ossie. It's been great.

Cheers.

Hugo must be in with a chance of winning the golden glove too

Hopefully preserving France's lead with a superb save, which can then be tweeter to Piers Moron on an hourly basis with the caption "Are you sure Spurs lost the World Cup?"
He won’t be able to see any tweets - his heads now permanently rammed up Trumps rectum! <laugh>

Toby Alderweireld was the only player not in attendance for the Belgian team's return......

The Belgian FA tweeted the statement: "Unfortunately Toby Aldeweireld is not able to celebrate with us today due to illness. We miss you Toby! Get well soon!"

Hmmmmmmm?

Well, if he plays like that when he's sick he ought to get sick more often. Hangover?
