Is Torres Spains version of Emile Heskey?

As soon as he came on, you knew they wern't going to score.

Torres, since leaving LFC, has been nothing short of a waste of space on a football pitch. I´ll say it again. WTF were CFC thinking by keeping him & getting rid of Sturrige & Lukaku ?

Shall we all just pretend the World cup never happened?

Not at all ... now that we are out I can sit back and enjoy a feast of football ... couldn't pick the winner to save my life right now (although my prediction of the Germans is looking a lot better than some <laugh>) ...

All the American sides are doing predictably well (apart from Honduras, but even they got their first goal since 1982!) so wouldn't be surprised if the winner comes from that part of the world. So I'll stick with the Argies.

As for England, I don't think any of us will ever see the day they win the World Cup outside of Europe (or maybe even in Europe, the way things are going!) so when the Germans beat us in 2010 I wrote us off for the next eight years. Even then though, I wouldn't have predicted this. That said, it was a hard group, indeed, so was our qualifying group, so cheers for that Blatter. But I just wish, just once, we could throw it back into FIFA's faces and beat someone decent in a competitive match - something we haven't managed since 2002!

Someone should sack that fat ****, disrespecting M´ON like that. What a moron he´s not even 1% of what M´ON is. Good bit of banter with RW though, gave it & took it, both of them.

England's shambolic performances aside (made to look even more pathetic by the performances of teams like Costa Rica, Iran, Nigeria, Algeria and the USA) ... hasn't this World Cup been absolutely fookin brilliant ...

I really have no idea who is going to win it ... everyone seems potentially vulnerable yet also have players capable of moments of individual brilliance ... Neymar, Mezzi, Muller, Robben, James Rodriguez, Eden Hazard, Benzema, Joel Campbell and James Milner.

Spot on FF, only saying this last night. Been really enjoyable since we went out. Some crackin' games, top performances from traditionally unexpected teams. Spain out early doors but USA unlucky not to be in Q/F. Would never have thought that.

It's wide open, anyone of the teams left could win. Some of the favorites weren't actually that dominant in the last round. Totally unpredictable, been brilliant.

It's a shame the goals have dried up, but agreed. I can't predict who's going to win, but have a horrible feeling it will be either Brazil or Argentina.

The last round almost threw up so many upsets, but none stuck, this is going to be the round where the upsets actually happen <ok>

Imo it´ll be Gemany v Brazil & Argies v Holland. I´ve said this since the k.o rounds started & I wouldn´t be surprised if it ain´t a Brazil v Argie final.... Fatter will be happy at that.

Posted before Neymar got injured & Thiago got suspended

I've got a £680 return on Brazil to win with Neymar top scorer :D

So, that's where my "wishes" go!

1 part is over for you mate & with Neymar out (pissed off because I´ve got him in my dream team & now need to phone Woy up for some managerial advice) & Thiago also out v Germany (also in my team) I think it´s going to be a struggle & may be the end for Brazil in the semi´s, hope not but...
