I'm almost certain they both won't make it. Hopefully both out in the next round. Over-hyped and over-rated both with 1 guy carrying each team.
 
Am i the only one who thinks the Americans will get to a semi final before england and in 5 years they will be better than us. I do hope this doesn't happen though
 
It's about peaking at the right time. That's why I still fancy Argentina.

Making it through on the back of one player. If Di Maria/Aguero/Lavezzi/Higuain etc.. Up their games they will be in with a good chance.

They aren't half bad at all, and in Jürgen Klinsman they have a top coach. Imagine having a winner like Klinsman in charge of the team instead of a hack who did a decent job at a Premier League fodder club.

You're suggesting they are not better than us right now ???

They went into the 2006 World Cup ranked about 3 or 4, not that I've ever paid too much attention to the rankings they must have done something right to earn that mark.
They have been between 10 and 15 for the past few years which is roughly where England are and to be honest, we've seen England in the past firtnight and they're not a top ten side, far from it.
If I was making a book then the two would be very closely priced if they played each other.

Most people have a view that MLS is where 'has beens' go for a final payday before retirement, the reality is that their league is improving all the time and many of their players earn their living in England, Germany and France amongst other leagues.

What I do like about them is their willingness to play the game without play acting, diving, over reacting and the general cheat tactics employed by every other team, astonishing really when you consider they're coached by Klinsmann !
 
Howard has been immense tonight!! Good ol' US of A really playing well in the deefensive zone tonight.
 
Too many central shots by the Belgians though. So many good chances ruined by nervous finishing.
 
Hazard is no Lionel Messi.

He's a skilful little player but I can't help but think he's been overhyped.

Too often he makes the wrong decision in key areas.
 
What a ****ty pass by De Bruyne. He had acres of space to put it ahead of him. Should have been game.

There is always the chance that the US of A can snatch the victory points and progress to the quarter final by scoring a goalshot in the Additional extra time period.
