Giroud scored another beauty as well.

Weird he seems more inclined to actually shoot when playing for France.

Is he really fit for the WC?? Having been ruled out for the closing few matches of the season with a niggling injury, I don't think anyone is doing him any favours by proclaiming him to be match fit. Ox needed a summer of "rest" and a spell with the physios to build up muscle strength on his legs. We all saw what happened the other night. A tough tackle and he is crocked again. There is every likelihood it will happen again in the group phase of the WC and then that's his WC over, and worse for Arsenal, a struggle for him to be properly fit for the start of the season. Talented player who on talent deserves to be at the WC, but feel Arsenal and England would have been better served by letting him recover full fitness back here.

Exactly right and I'd add Wilshere to that list two. Both players needed a summer of rest as they've been struggling all season.

Interesting first half in the opening game Brazil v Croatia.

Croatia looking confident on the ball, but I still expect Brazil to nick it.

And what has little Lucy done to his lovely locks <laugh>

Been a good match for the opening game. Brazil going for it and Croatia trying to catch them on the counter.

Hate **** refereeing with a passion. Brazil did not play like a team that will win the World Cup and frankly I don't think they will

Croatia looked more like scoring in the second half. 2 lucky bobblers and a joke penalty... Brazil wont be playing against that keeper in every game though

the Brazilian diving and rolling around and demanding yellow cards was a complete joke...it's like they have 11 ashlel youngs on the pitch...and as for the ref!

The World cup started yesterday, or as the Welsh call it - Thursday <whistle>

But like I said. Brazil don't look particularly impressive.

I think they will struggle against a decent counter attacking side.

My mate just sent me a picture of his home made England shirt for tomorrow night <laugh>

I've already seen what I expected from Brazil and Spain. No doubt Argentina will win a dodgy penalty next to complete the trinity
