No, because he's a good finisher and as you say, has pace to burn. I thought Southgate might have brought him on against Tunisia as well as Rashford and changed formation slightly. It's good to have options.
He’s a rat-faced little gobshite, but his first touch at pace and finishing is class. I like Wellbeck because he tracks back brilliantly, but pretty much offers like-for-like with somebody like (say) Rashford. Vardy offers something else, which I think is essential at this level to unlock stalemates and/or chase a game with longer balls. Mind you, I admire Southgate for sticking to a system and picking players to execute it. Maybe Vardy is our Jimmy Greaves and that makes Southgate out Sir Alf...

No. Got back Monday in time for the England game. In the middle of moving house now and all that entails!! Still, got the Sky visit all arranged to move the TV equipment, that's the most important thing. Terrible defending by Serbia, but a great finish by Shaqiri.
