Have to say Pablo Zabaleta has been very dignified in the BBC studio. Doubtless he’d be punching a passing Croatian in the kidneys had he been on the pitch though. There is something deeply unlikeable about the way the Argentinians and Uruguayans play football, no matter how great some of their players are/have been. Enzo Francescoli was one of my favourite ever players.
Well, I think were toast now. We needed to win that game to go further in the competition but l stated from the start of the WC that 1 draw was about all we'd get. Really lacking a half decent striker.
Australia were the best after the pen. Thought Peru played well too without getting a point. That Group is quite even.

They effectively ended up playing 5-0-5 last night. Completely wrong approach, and deserved to be spanked.
Brazil are pushing against Costa Rica but aren't being that effective, and Costa Rica seem to be dangerous on the break. 0-0 after 33 minutes, could leave Brazil needing a solid win in their third game to get through the group if they don't win today.
Still goalless after 75 minutes, and all much the same - not a great game but for a neutral with eyes on the big picture it's great
