Great second half performance and what a display from Bale. The guy is world class!! I note that Fletcher did Ashley Williams yet again in the build up to Scotland's goal. How he must love playing against him! I fancied Fletcher for Swans when Wolves went down and didn't get a lot of support for my view. As it happens, we couldn't afford him but, for me, he's just the type of striker we could do with. Very clever and under-rated player. Nuff said. I'm off to savour a well deserved win. Well done, lads.
Re: Fletcher's disallowed goal Anyone else find it weird that when talking about it the pundits totally ignore that the linesman should have flagged for offside the pass before the cross? Scotland weren't unlucky at all. Instant karma delivered for the Fletcher decision, and we didn't get as clear a penalty as you could wish to see....even being generous too them the decisions overall evened out and they were beaten by a World class strike. Wales thoroughly deserved those 3 points.
My thought on the offside, was that Fletcher was offside when the ball was passed to Adam, but he wasn't interfering with play, but when the cross came over he was then active so offside. But Sky said that the linesman thought the ball was out of play, baffling. Anyway we should have had a penalty for the rugby tackle before the one the ref gave. Great win though. Bale is a fantastic talent!!
Great win for Wales. We could have scored 6. H Bomb - I think Dill modded my score, I said 2-1 to Wales with Bale scoring a penalty and a 30yard screamer ....!!!!
What was nice to see tonight was that the passion was there in the players and the manager. It was great to see Colemans reaction to the goals. The hunger and the belief - even after going a goal down was still there. The last few matches have been depressing for us all so it's great to be writing positive things about our country's team for a change. Bales was as good as any performance by Messi or Ronaldo tonight.
no heart, 35,000 watching del piero make his debut for sydney v newcastle and low 20 odd thousand to watch an international
