I do know a fair amount about football at this point--most of it learned from my fellow Spurs posters and mods.

I'll boldly predict a fall from grace for myself based on a couple of things:

I figured

I'd have an edge over most posters in the first round on the theory that I've read up more than most + my background is more in following world, as opposed to club, football. This turned out to be right.

From the second round on, the main useful information is previous tournament results, which everyone has access to, so I should sink back down to the middle.

This competition rewards correct scores above all. Getting correct scores seems mostly a matter of dumb luck plus having a sense of how many goals per game there will be (and, of course, who will win--but I didn't think I was any better than most at guessing who would win.)

In any case, either my predictions, or my predicted fall from grace, will turn out to be good. And I'm 100% certain to play up whichever one it is.
