Our problem is we turn up at these tournaments believing everything will just click into place "because we have the players". Meanwhile we're being WUM by two of the most hated premier league strikers (balotelli and Suarez) and we have people like Danny Mills planning our future!
If this is the first England team to avoid qualification from the group stages since 1958 then we will have to look at the high number of scousers in this team.
And Sturridge takes a dive into the 'Pool. And we take off Sterling, since Rooney has been so unstoppable. That's a bad mistake, I think. Sterling has been the most dangerous player, and while Barkley undoubtedly has talent and potential, at this point is mainly good for dribbling the ball into a clump of players and losing it.
Sorry if I sound like I'm anti rooney but seriously...he is considered a world class player and the commentators call him unlucky for failing to score from a yard and shooting straight the keeper from 6 yards I kind of hope for him that it gets better but the pretending he is unlucky by the commentators is as painful listen to as it is to watch him fail
this is painfully like watching spurs... no width, lots of huffing and puffing, lots of possession but not looking dangerous, weak in defence ... oh, and losing!
I told you Rooney would come good! ...though it was one I would have put in. All Johnson really. That's his one move, but he can do it well.
