I think Casillas retired before the tournament, judging by his performances.
Shame he forgot to tell anyone.

Seeing how poor Cassillas has been all season, I'm surprised Reina hasn't already considered stepping down if he can't get in ahead of that clown. Also possibly Busquets to go.

Torres on for Costa for the second game in a row. A taste of what Chelsea can look forward to next season, perhaps?

You can be sure that the knives are already being sharpened in Madrid. Del Bosque will be gone, for sure...

Chile are a very good side. They have forced the game to be played at a tempo that suits them - but not Spain.

Gary Medel's been impressive at centre-half, despite his diminutive stature. Won't be at Cardiff next season.

Six minutes of injury time? Really? Sepp must've had a word.

For those admiring Chile, Pochettino and Sampaoli (chile's manager) both learnt their trade from Marcelo Bielsa, so that's where the influence comes from (thanks to ChilcoSaint ) and something I touched upon recently when mentioning Bielsa, so Chile are the team (at the world cup) that will be most similar to the style of football Pochettino will try and have us playing. Verts will be pulling a hamstring at the thought of double training sessions or quickly instructing his agent to find a new club.

Spain out! Chile look excellent, as a lot of people thought. Right now I'd favor them over Brazil. Tasty matchup with the Dutch coming up.

Whether it's Brazil, Mexico, or Croatia, none of them will relish the prospect of facing Chile.

Spain's great roll of the dice to being 2-0 down and half an hour away from elimination? Bring on Torres.

It's slightly less embarrassing to just wave the white flag, y'know...

Spain should have remembered that, you may be on the right track. But, if you stand still, you'll get run over!..

Spain should've remembered that, when you're 2-0 down, it doesn't matter how high your percentage of possession is.

So the Dutch aren't as impregnable as I first thought and Uruguay's captain is out but Suarez is fit. We should still win it.

Olic opens the scoring for our former players, against one of our current ones. Sort of.
His last World Cup goal was 12 years ago.

Former Goon Alex Song elbows Mandzukic in the back for little or no reason and is dismissed. Cameroon's hopes of progressing probably go with him.
Really stupid and unnecessary and it was right in front of the ref, too. What a bellend.

Perisic makes it 2-0 and that's it for Cameroon. Waste of a place, frankly. Rubbish twice.
