Be interesting to see how this Croatia side do.

Probably the last chance for their "golden generation" to do anything on the World Cup stage, definitely Modric's, Subasic's and Mandzukic's last WC, Rakitic will be 34 and Perisic 33 by the next one so possibly for them as well.

These ****y pundits aren’t using VAR what it was made for. They aren’t ****ing clear cut, and they are going down to the smidge of contact now. Absolute farce.

VAR is giving everyone the reason to feel a touch and throwing themselves to the floor.

My humourous point was, is there strong racism in Croatia, because it seems odd as a EU country. Imagine an England side without blacks and the uproar, so is there a significant reason for it?

Got Croatia in my sweepstake. Very good side, but have never gone all the way before. The average age of their starting 11 is well over 30, so this is their last chance for this group of players.

I've always liked Croatia since my first World Cup in '98. Davor Suker... good times. Got to the semis that time didn't they?

15 mins in and these Nigerians have dived about 6 times already. Ref falling for most of them as well.

Yeah Davor Suker was an amazing player for the national side. Good for Arsenal too in that season he played for us, but couldn't get in the team ahead of Bergkamp and Henry, so we sold him to West Ham.
