Well at least we didn't lose by a penalty shoot out, not good enough to get that far this time.

A bit gutted though as I thought we had 2 decent matches but in the end it was Suarez 2 Gerrard 0 (or 2 assists).

For all the euphoria about the young England bucks like Sterling, Sturridge etc. coming in, and the "old has-beens" being finished, I thought that Welbeck, Sturridge, Sterling, Barkley etc. produced absolutely nothing of any consequence last night. Rooney had a shot and header apart from his goal which Johnson made. How many decent strikes on goal did Welbeck, Sturridge, Sterling etc. have - I can't think of one.......Baines played well. Cahill was abysmal - blame Gerrard for his misplaced header by all means, but where was the covering?

Last night was poorer than against Italy I thought and we were made to pay by a world class footballer - something we lack.

Suarez's 2 goals just proves he is always ready and waiting - sometimes I feel we were just hoping for something to happen.

As usual I agree with you Vic. The young bucks failed to make any impression. Rooney did OK, and also had an assist for the goal against Italy - I though Jagielka was responsible for not bothering to mark anyone for Uruguay's first goal - and when it was scored he looked round as if to say - ooooh blimey didn't see him around - of the younger players I though Henderson was pretty decent

Ya O.K. we lost, it is not unusual, unfortunately.

The formation and players haven't won a game in four. We are not a good team, yes, we deserved to be in the world cup. However, we must now realise we are not that good at all. The next Euros/World Cup I am going to put a bet on England to lose games, at least then I'll win some money or be happy if we win.

Do you think Roy should stay? After all, for a little Island, that only invented the sport, we should do better, as always...

Tonight I watched Italy v Costa Rica. Somehow I was reminded of the darker days under GFZ when if you press quickly and do not allow these so called skillful players time on the ball, you can beat them. The Spanish team did not seem to know what to do when the opposition refused to give them the space they are used to. These tactics were used by GT when we were a lower level team coming up against the big boys, and some of the time it worked.

Oh well, time to hang the onions round the neck and put the beret on. ;)

A little island. That is funny. You have a population of 55 million of course you should do better. A small island is Ísland with 320,000 people and we nearly arrived in Brasilía.

The problem is a Damocles sword. The need for good English players makes them expensive for the clubs to buy from each other or better for the big teams steal from smaller clubs so the clubs get better and cheaper foreign football players. Then the English players suffer because the young ones don't get chances.

Bloody great fishes are Wales.... especially when the Icelandics get hold of them. Kin ell we were ****e last night. That is all.

So welcome home team England.

You did the nation proud, but just fell short. This time it was not to be.

So welcome back home to your Bentleys. To your high-walled mansions with twenty-four hour security. To your Twitter accounts (although they were always with you in your brave Brazilian adventure).

You have given so much over the last month. You were so far away from your creature comforts you take for granted. And you had to work so hard at learning the national anthem in order to mime it so well.

But nearly FIVE hours of competitive football over that month must have taken it's toll. Who could possibly begrudge you a well-deserved few weeks on the beach in Dubai first?

Go on lads - enjoy. You have earned it - you bunch of passionless, overpaid, talentless, useless muppets.

Hehehe.
