I think if it carries on the way it has started the talking point of this is going to be VAR not the actual football.
No wonder you are happy having £40 on the Saudis. Not having watched the Denmark game upto this point there has only been one game without a penalty. The one in the England game I think the ref bottled it decided it was easier to give it has it wasn't going to effect the outcome. The same in the 3rd minute with our shout too early in the game.
4 more matches in Section 1, all tomorrow. Section 2 starts on Friday, so I'll put the odds up now SECTION 2
Well the first match falls of the world cup are done, which is normally where the shock results lay, so sadly the second games will be fought more strongly by the bookies favoured teams, but it's only fun so.... £50 Mexico - Argentina have shown the ability to score goals, but they need to learn the offside rules, var, var and var. £50 Swiss - they aint got a bat in hells chance. £50 Cameroon - good odds for these surprisingly, the bookies clearly know something I don't. But I do live in the past, Roger Millaaaaaaaaaaa £50 USA - England expectation is high, so that can only mean a fall. £50 Costa Rica - won't happen £50 Saudi Arabia - bookies obviously cautious with the odds this time, understandably so. £300 Leaves me £300 for the section 3.
Some of this football is painful. So much possession in their own half. I just watched one player, given the ball just inside his own half, in acres of space. He goes forward with the ball to just past the halfway line, looks up, still unchallenged, and what does he do? He turns round and passes it all the way back to his goalie. This is at 0-0. What does that say about the rest of the team?
Not in a million years was that a penalty against Ghana. We'll be having penalties galore at this rate
