A beautiful day all round.

England bang in 4

And my beloved Doctor Congo get their first ever WC point.

Dream is on for an England v DR Congo final

My cunning plan to get home having avoided the England result was thwarted by the Dept of Transport - not only did they have about 5 sets of roadworks, they closed the ****ing M1 in two places forcing exit and detours - the latter, most annoyingly was at 11a through to 9 (l would normally exit at 10 or 9) the redirect at 11a took me through the 'beautiful' hamlet of Dunstable around 11:45pm in a massive crawling convoy predominantly made up of HGVs - we were literally going along a 5mph if not slower and grinding to many a halt.

Anyway - we went past a few pubs as we came into the town - where many pissed neanderthals wrapped in cheap variants of the Cross of St George were dancing between the vehicles informing the queue that 'football was coming home' and there were also a couple of not-so-young 'ladies' in competition to see who could get the most air horn blasts from the truckers by hawking up their tops to show their tits ... needless to say neither would have been the subject of a @kiwiqpr pic!

So I knew the ****ing result before I eventually got in ... ****ers! <grr>

There is a 0% chance this bloke isn’t drinking on the sly and doing all sorts of haram stuff. One of those guys who has a spliff at half time in Sunday league and is still the man of the match.

I do like him coming off the bench though.

Bit surprised by that, never really thought about what people's religion is in the national teams, well until I found this place lol, but would have thought another muslim would have played long before him.

It's like I was thinking in one of the games the other day, that so and so team (whoever that was) will be use to the heat, but that might not actually be true, dependent on where they spend a majority of their time residing.

Same as the Curacao team, only one player was actually born on the island, Tahith Chong, the rest come from the Netherlands.

I've certainly never of thought of England as an all Christian team, thought there would have been multiple religions in a team, you never know what someones religion is you can only assume.

I know we do the water breaks for Muslims in UK now, but only thought we didn't allow them before because we were inconsiderate rather than it actually being a muslim not being in the team. Not referring to world cup hydration breaks btw.
