That's what I like to see, someone still bitter after 40 years <laugh>
Nearly 50 years <cheers>

I was standing on the Kop that night: supposedly the Kop was for Wales fans but there were as many Jocks as us.

Spent the entire second half watching the match with one hand raised to protect my eyes from the occasional bottle that rained down in our direction.

So all told - yep, still bitter. <laugh>

Brilliant <applause>
The thing is, Taff, these weren't my tickets - I did go to all the games (apart from France/Uruguay at White City), but I was blagged in by my Grandfather without a ticket and stood on the balcony over the tunnel. My wife's brother died a couple of years ago and we found all these tickets, still in the original brown paper wallet, amongst his possessions. It's him in the photo.

I seem to remember posting my claim to have been one of only two people (me and the Queen) to have been at the 1966 final and the 1991 rugby final at Twickenham, but you shot me down.

Probably worth a few quid, not that you’d want to sell.

I saw an advert from a travel company for the 1970 World Cup for three weeks in Mexico with flights, hotel, all of England’s group games and I think all the knockouts including the final for £250. £3600 or so today.

Fun quiz question:

Kane is now the second England player to score in three World Cups. Who was the first?

(It’s not some trick question where the answer is a woman or another sport).
