People keep saying what a great squad we have but it was LB - Luke Shaw and no one else CB - Stones and Maguire pretty crap but worryingly probably the best we have RB - fine with Trippier James Walker CM - Bellingham Rice are fine but after that pretty meh Wide attackers / MF - well stacked with Saka , Foden Mount Maddison Grealish Sterling CF - Kane and a backup who is about as reliable fitness wise as Sturridge and then there is Mount who no one seems sure where he plays - apart fro Chelsea obviously Basically the squad has some big gaps in it.
Southgate would never pick him and with the way England play he is correct not to as we wouldn't want our FB crossing the half way line would we .
Ben White is an excellent CB who Southgate doesn't rate for some reason. Ben Chillwell is decent as LB. CM Kalvin Phillips as well. Wide Attackers, I'm guessing you meant Rashford instead of Mount in that list as you mentioned Mount later. CF - Tammy Abraham, Callum Wilson (France had Benzema out and played with Giroud).
