We always will under Southgate. He’s not won anything in his life other than a massive contract for being the FA’s most boring yes man. P.S does anyone else think the referee was dodgy as hell last night?
Yeh just a tad Re: Southgate - when you have to convince yourself the manager is doing alright then you know the bar is set too low. We should have higher expectations from this England side than "yeh we played well but lost" in the Q/F of a competition we were more than capable of winning.
After a good nights sleep, I’ve decided to blame Pickford for there second goal. If he learnt how to catch a ball instead of the pushing it away then the French wouldn’t have been in a position to attack straight away
Shouldn't we just be grateful he could reach it. Come to think of it, if his arms were a reasonable size he could've saved the first as well. Yeh fck him.
This. He got both of them calls wrong aswell. Embarrassing really. But those subs Southgate made though. Mount and Sterling?
The referee didn’t give them initially. He only did so because he was told he got them completely wrong. And he then had to give them.
He gave the first one, second one was VAR. But it’s **** logic to say, 2 penalties were given so he wasn’t dodgy.
That happens in most games ref getting called up to review a decision he initially made it’s not dodgy it’s a process
Can we not just agree that England just aren't good enough? They have some talented players such as Bellingham but they are just not a good team. Victories of numpty mobs like Iran, Wales and Senegal does not a world cup winner make. You really have to stop listening to Linekar and Co shooting their load after every win over teams you should beat. Only then will you be able to cope with these eternal crushing disappointments. In fact when you see the reality of the thing crushing disappointment will no longer exist. It's for you're own good I tell you this.
He pulled France up for 14 fouls and pulled us up for 10 I remember him ignoring Mbappe’s diving antics on a few occasions too plus he gave us 2 pens he might not be the best but he certainly wasn’t dodgy and the least of our problems
Early on it felt decisions were against us as if did look like a foul on Saka before their first and not given a (soft) penalty shortly after. But two penalties given, especially one with 5 mins to go, we can't blame the officials. Realistically, France are the best team in the world. We're not far off but not number 1.
VAR didn’t give it…the ref reversed his own initial decision..he doesn’t have to accept VARs advice…so he deserves bonus points for swallowing his pride and doing the right thing I blame FIFA for not having a set of goals on top of the stadium roof…Kane’s 2nd pen would have gone in then
Kanes part of the problem for England. He sits too deep and thus we have no outlet. We had the same problem when Rooney was playing.
