I didn't watch it, but I got the alerts on my phone. After a busy day fixing stuff around the house I was busy preparing a barbecue for my wife and my son's family, after they had spent the day at a farm near Lacock, meeting the newborn lambs and other baby farm animals. Homemade onion and fennel coleslaw and homemade garlic and chilli burgers - went down rather well actually. I might have been a chef in a parallel universe - I love cooking. I tentatively thought about rigging up a TV outside so it could be on in the background but ran out of time in the end.
Yet Jamaica, who elected to remain as part of the Commonwealth with the Queen as it's head when offered the chance to be independent, and despite the millions of pounds that we continue to send them every year, want billions of pounds more from the UK as reparation for deeds carried out hundreds of years ago. How does **** off sound ?!! Leave the commonwealth and don't come back.
One day someone will come out with it ... I myself have a Japanese kamikaze pilot to thank, along with Hitler who started WW2 ..Had history been different say the kings shilling! or my ancestor been forced to go to as a slave to some far off place I would not decry that, without it I would not have been here ..... people should be happy for who they are and where they are .......... maybe they should be offered the chance to go ack to the land of their ancestors, ..
We have a bunch of First Nation's people in Rome talking to some guy in white robes hoping for an apology from him for the residential schools run by his lot in Canada. Message to them from me is that you don't have a hope in hell because you have already been awarded 20+ million which has never been paid whilst they continue building new churches and ignore your claims claiming that someone else is to blame. The blame game for what was inflicted by governments and churches will go on but the claims will continue for recompense in the form of millions of moolah.
Why is it that the UK nations are early ALWAYS drawn in the same group? If I didn’t know FIFA was such an ethically correct and unbiased organisation I would suspect a fix ……
SAD REALLY.. it would be nice to have had all 3 in the knockouts but 2 is best now finishing 1 & 2 [ Ukraine can put the knockers on that though! ]... an interesting draw went very well ....
