Unsurprisingly, poor.
Shame, it was nice feeling like us and Croatia were the stand out teams. Got lucky a few times at the back, and haven't threatened going forward yet. Hope they improve a lot second half. Coz that was the old England that I thought we had moved past. Turgid.

Really don't know why you would try to derail your own momentum. 8 changes were so not needed.
After all the crap they said, about having to win every game, and setting out to win every game. You can tell Garath wanted to throw this from his selection, you can see the players do too. They are playing like we are winning and trying to see the game out.
Rashford and Arnold have looked miles out of their depth. Jones, awful, as always. Vardy, not getting any service.
It's like the big clubs sticking the kids out, coz they can't be bothered with the League Cup, and want to focus on the league and champions league. But this is the only cup we are in, and it comes around once every 4 years. There is no reason to drop anyone who isn't injured.

Bloody hell. That was embarrassing. I really thought Garath had something, I really believed in him, and thought he spoke honestly and intelligently. He'd pissed all over that today. He promised us something that he then just totally did the opposite to. I thought we couldn't lose tonight. I thought if we play like we do, we will really test them, and give them a scare. If we lose, it doesn't matter, because of the draw being easier and we went at them. Garath has found a way to make a loss out of this. He's disrupted the flow and gel of the team, he's pissed off kane, they now have to start again in a knockout from no game time for a week. They always say big teams are poorer in the group stage is cos they don't get to play together, so after a 3 game group stage, they fuse, so that's why big countries struggle in the group, but kick in, in the knock out. Well everyone else has 3 games of that, and we have 2.
