Apparently a England fan was attacked and his ear bitten off inside the Sao Paolo Arena. The story is ment to go huge in the UK press in the next few days and people will be shocked who did it.
Very interesting. So the three biggest managerial flops are the highest paid. Oh, I'd love to be the next Mexico manager never mind the England one!! No wonder prices for internationals are obscenely high. I wouldn't cross the road to see the national team for free. If they paid me to go, then that would be another matter!!!
The round of 16 is about to begin and already the clever clogs of pundits are predicting Brazil v Germany and Argentina v Holland in the semis. I am going to for France to knock out Germany in the QFs and then destroy the dreams of millions in Brazil in the semis. I think the other half will turn out to be as predicted although I would love the likes of Algeria or Mexico to pull off a surprise. So for the final France v Argentina with France winning which would be a wonderful triumph on the eve of the 225th anniversary of the fall of the Bastille!! Well it could be a fantastic coincidence.

Listening to the BBC's theme tune. There was a familiarity about it that was more than just Latin-American rhythmn and sounds. Of course, it's Stevie Wonder. I don't have a single album of the guy's work but I have a huge respect for his influence on music.
Yeah, I know. I should be ashamed. SW is a bit of a glaring gap in my music collection. Hey, I have an Isley Brothers album..! I think I'll give Songs in the Key of Life a download, I mean listen.
SITKOL is my favourite double-album ever along with Physical Graffiti (Although Innervisions is probably a better album all round).
Right, big admission coming here. You'll be only the second person I've ever mentioned this to... I have heard Physical Graffiti twice in my entire life, back when it first came out. I can't remember anything off it. I have all of Led Zep's album's up to it [apart from comps and lives] and thought I'd heard enough to last me a lifetime. Clearly, it's about time for me to go back and check it out.
I was just pondering whether I preferred ITV's music or BBC's for the World Cup. I think I like BBC and Stevie Wonder more.

Was good the chap who does the ITV one playing it live in the studio after last night's game. brought a touch of class to ITV coverage for once
after seeing all of the teams through to the quarter finals, I think/hope colombia will go on to win it
