"Literally" ... when not used in proper context ... and these two phrases ... "I'm not gonna lie" - translation - ****'s about to lie "To be honest" - translation - ****'s about to lie
Don’t really hate any actual proper words. Just hate modern slang terms and the way young black and Asians speak that weird street wanna be gangster slang. I also hate all the abbreviations made in shows like the only way is Essex. I’ve never watched it either. We should have a thread about words we love instead. Like the following; Valve Plinth Mince Moist
+1 for Moist I hate the word unhittable because it didn't exist in the Oxford dictionary 10 years ago, it was all 7 letters and caused my only loss to my mate.
Another recent buzz phrase which is irritating and actually make no sense ... "Playing on the front foot ..." ... we are not ****ing quadrupeds ffs! ... we don't have a front foot ...
Phlegm - partly the sound of the word and partly the way it's spelled. Phrase-wise the most annoying one is "At the end of the day"
This And people who start every sentence with "Basically......" maybe I dont want it bascially, ****, maybe I want it intermediately or advanced!
