Well you will be pleased to see that, despite my system reducing the possible answers, I have been left red faced today because my guesses didn't reduce the possible answers until it was nearly too late

Yes you are right chaps. Using a system is not in the spiriit of the game but as you can see it isn't exactly doing great and I have been completely honest about my approach which was simply to demonstrate the difficulties we are facing in this game. After my first wild guess I have revealed the number of possible answers, this bearing in mind there are only 1124 valid words remaining. However, not kowing that, there would be 2309 possible answers and nearly 13000 words accepted as valid guesses. Even using my system I was very close to a fail

Apart from demonstrating the scale of difficulty, it also shows how clever some of you lads are, far more clever than I, that's for sure

I can see it's not going down too well so I think I will gracefully leave you fine chaps to it and wish you all the best. I will of course stay in touch regarding your progress in the league as I would love to see you back in the Premiership

It's been great fun and thank you for allowing me into your league

Special thanks to Snaggey for maintaining the scores and for the weekly commentaries. I feel quite honoured that I actually received an honourable mention a couple of times. Can't remember if I made it to the 30s club, but if I did I had no luck with any bar maids

That's a pity Ron wasn't trying to chase you away no reason why you can't continue just dump your system which was hardly brilliant anyway.

There's no need to leave Ron, and personally would prefer you stick around, system or not.
I'm not saying you shouldn't use your system, just saying that it's not for me.
I enjoy your comments on here, and would be sorry to see you go, and certainly take no pleasure in you (or anyone) getting high scores....quite the opposite tbh.
I enjoy doing the weekly chart, it's just a bit fun, but I feel it adds to our little (expanding) wordle group.
