A bogey 5 to start the week off, and not a juicy in sight. Found this tricky. Weekly chart to follow later, and it's a good un, again.
Par today. Nowt, Hughie first letter, 3 hughies first three letters, two choices stood out and I picked the wrong one and had to settle for a par 4. Not a juicey in sight.
Par four today one of each two hughies and a juicy three hughies (first three) took ages to even make a word, three non words and then got it
Well that was a difficult one. A par from me with a guess that was in the arse of my mind somewhere but a total fail for Mrs W her first fail in over a year. Me GOOOY GGGOO GGGOO GGGGG MRS W OOOYO OOGOY GGGOO GGGOO GGGOO GGGOO
Hughies 1 & 3 and a juicy, before a told me where the stray juicy went and another pretty one appeared please log in to view this image
Gordon lad, noticed you are on a good run and I'm struggling, whereas when I'm on a good run, you seem to struggle...
Belated Chart for the week. Last week's was good, but this week's might be even better. No fails and only x3 double bogeys for the week, but x1 in the 30's club. But...x11 scores under 25, and eagles and birdies all over the place. Some cracking scores. Star of the Week, and we have a new name at the top. Coming out on top with an outstanding score of 19 is @Monkey69, a run of x3 Eagles adding to x3 birdies and a par. Outstanding. Runner up spot is shared between @cumbrianmackem (x7 birdies - how about that for consistency) and @flandersmackem who both scored 21. Excellent again from both. Honourable mentions: Pull up a seat and get comfortable, this could take a while.... @Row 3 and @Young Ted (possibly your best scores yet), both with 22 @malagamackem with 23. @SAFCDRUM, @Gordon Armstrong, @Norman Stanley Fletcher and @Whittylad (and household bragging rights) all with 24. I even sneaked in myself with 24, my best score for a while. 11 under 25, that's some going. The 30's club has now re-opened after being closed last week, but it hasn't had many takers. Just the x1 in there....
I'd love to get better at this, @cumbriette just out of curisoity what word do you start with? I'll disclose, I start with TRIES as they have the most popular vowels ans constinants. If i'm overstepping the line, please tell me.
I think she used a different starting word everyday, @cumbrianmackem might confirm. She was **** hot at it tbh, always under 20. Youll get there mate, the only tip I could give is it's an American game, so sometimes there is American spellings of words....for example "color".
We can do without clues, mind . . . . this is a fun game with no pressure or prize, and we should never mention anything too specific that could help others. I deliberately start with a bad word 'cos I don't want to make it easier, and I want to have to think about it to exercise my brain This is a very friendly group, too, and we support each other (take the mickey) when we can
