Good start to the week with an Eagle. 2-1 to the hughies, took my time with lots of choices but managed to find the right one to sink my putt.
A birdie 3 to start the week off. Word two left me the simplest of simple tap ins.....a real couldn't miss shot. Weekly chart to follow later.
Hughies no. 1 & 2 and a juicy, four (so close), then a tap-in for a nice one please log in to view this image
Fact. Wordle Words List. There are a total of 12,986 five letter words in the dictionary but, in this list, only 2,309 words are answers for the popular word game, Wordle Given that, so far, 1003 words have already been used and therefore unlikely to be used again for a while there is a high chance that any guess you come up with will not be successful (ie already used) I reckon I could quickly build a system to enable a very succesful guess rate Enter First guess Say result was green, grey, grey, yellow yellow Search all words in Wordle dictionary where First letter = first letter entered, the word contains the 4th letter entered, but not in position 4, contains the 5th letter entered, but not in position 5, and does not contain the 2nd and 3rd letters entered List possible answers with date last used (where applicable) Those with no last used date will be the ones to focus on Shall I test it out to see if anyone can beat me. Warning. I will be very suspicious if anyone does
Forgot to post the weekly chart.... Been a bit of a strange one I think. No fails, and x2 in the 30's club, but a big range of scores with every result from 22 to 31 covered, and x5 under 25. Friday was a bit of a flying things day...x11 birdies and x1 eagle, was like a flock of starlings. Star of the week went down to the wire again. @cumbrianmackem and @Gordon Armstrong both going into the final day on 19 and a few on 20. A birdie vs a par on the last day being the difference, with @cumbrianmackem coming out on top with an impressive 22. Actually, a very impressive 22. . Runner up spot goes to @Gordon Armstrong and @flandersmackem with 23 . Honourable mentions to @Black Siamese Cat with 24, along with myself bring up the under 25 scores.
I forecast another dodgy week. Some stupid guesses meant I stumbled to a 6. No looking up words for me.
Par for today after a slow start. - two yellows, - two yellows, - two greens at the back and a yellow.
Birdie today. Juicey, 1 of each, gave me an idea of 1st & last letter, didn't take long to find a word that fitted. Thanks for the chart Snaggey, tight finish again which keeps us all on our toes. Think Ron is overthinking the game.
