Getting two juicies with my first three shots didn't leave me with much to play for. Surprised to land the par
Seems shooting the first three blanks is the norm for me today, as I stumbled through the BBC's 7 question quiz from Friday...
Bit off piste.....Yesterday was my birthday (75) and youngest daughter sent me a card in which she wrote that I was her hero ( yes I know). I spoke to her and explained that Jimmy Montgomery and Bob Stokoe were hero's but that I'm just her dad, I think she understood....just thought I'd share that with you all.
Hero's come in many different forms mate. If your daughter says you're a hero....you're a hero. A lovely compliment tbf. Happy Birthday for yesterday .
Chart for the week. Been a good one, with x7 scores under 25, and only x1 in the 30's club. No fails, but a few double bogeys over the week. The big anomaly was that @cumbrianmackem got one of them......unheard of. Plenty of Eagles over the week as well. Star of the week. This was close....really close. Going into the Sunday, there was x2 on 18 and x4 on 19. coming out on top though, with two excellent scores of 21 is @flandersmackem and @malagamackem. Two cracking sets of scores for the week. Very honourable mentions to @cumbrianmackem (and that's with a double bogey), and @Row 3 with 22, @SAFCDRUM with 23, and @Gordon Armstrong with 24. Really did go down to the wire.
Cheers for the chart. Shouldn't be surprised at the wooden spoon when par was my highest score of the week.
Happy with my birdie after all the pars above. Two Hughies then two Hughies and a Juicy left me with one option.
