4. I had all but the middle letter and had a naughty incorrect guess at 3. I think my 4th was the only option available.
Five. Could have been four.
I had 4 tries with 4 letters in place and still got it wrong...big fat zero from me today
Slipped back to a 5 today. Not a difficult word just too many possibilities.
Winner here 4- fail Got the first letter 2nd go which helped.
Mrs couldn't find it in 3 goes and failed, were not keen on the multi choice words.

Much like mine
This, thought I should have got it in three, but happy in the end with double bogey 6 as I had 3 options left... the Americanism of the game stood out

Failed on a first letter lottery
