Well that's one issue. I can afford to do it, the beauty of a part time job to go with Uni. Should i just pretend to be gay and make her break up with me if she gets too serious?

Weddings are a huge waste of money. Some people spend tens of thousands on one day.

<laugh> maybe not the best way to go eh!

the way I see it. You should only marry someone if you really love them (obviously).. but if that person doesn't want to get married anyway, then if you love them enough you shouldn't be bothered about getting married anyway.

people who look for a relationship just for marriage are daft!

do it without the actual wedding? <laugh> have the piss up and honeymoon.. just not the actual wedding!

They're called desperate and want to get into one of those glossy magazines idiotic women buy. OK, Hello, etc.

damn straight. Got a deal going with the girlfriend. If we ever decide to get married... we'll save up all the money people normally do for weddings.. and then book a trip to Vegas. And then, if we feel like getting married when we're pissed, get it done by Elvis! The classy way <ok>

    <laugh> Hell yeah.

I've been with my girlfriend since I met her at uni when I was 18 and, besides the usual marriage & kids dreaming when we first started going out, neither of us are remotely bothered.

Weddings tend to mean more to a woman than a man. They all have their idea of the perfect wedding, while us blokes just want a good buffet, a decent bar and a tasty bit of action on the wedding night.

As for a piss up and a honeymoon... just sounds like a successful weekend on the town <laugh>

Read my above post. Literally have a deal with my girlfriend that we'd do it by going to vegas and getting pissed and, if it somehow gets done by a bloke dressed as Elvis during a drunken night, then so be it <laugh>

    I'm sticking to that deal!

I haven't even used the M word around the missus. I'm paranoid about it. Any time a conversation gets too seriously relationship based, i steer it back towards something more comfortable, like music.

I genuinely couldn't think of anything better than Elvis doing the ceremony.

I've never been 'dreaming' about it <laugh> But yeah. I know what you mean, not fussed about it at all. I'm bothered just about (eventually) moving in with her. And then I'll be content.

Don't want kids either. Just a **** load of pets.

Ahh. Awkward sods! I'd begrudgingly do it if there was a free bar and some good sausage rolls knocking out though!

I went to school with my missus, then went to uni with her, yet only got together in the final quarter of last year. We've been mates for years (similar interests) but had never thought of anything serious.

No, it's really funny. I was never really interested in her as anything more than a friend, and one day, i sorted my head out, sobered up and thought "You know what Kyle, this girl is great, go for it" I was suprised she said yes, i'm not the best looking guy in the world.
