Looking at the OT thread, it mostly used by posters between midnight and 3am. Obviously, it's well known that football fans are at their most lucid and analytical at that sort of hour.
I am happy to merge the threads. You might find that you are able to carry on just fine until your bedtimes and pick up in the morning after the nightshift are safely tucked in.
Would you prefer that to closing the thread?

 

It will get so confused with us trying to find a word related to some obscure Japanese cartoon character that a decent death with full military honours might be preferable. We can always meet again after this season.
