Good news and bad news.
Managed to get tickets for the first Thursday on Court 2. All sorted!
Then managed to get 2 on Centre Court for the 2nd Thursday - delighted. Then it all went pear shaped ….. the charge (£343) was made to my Amex Card (it immediately appeared on the App)

Then my LTA Ticket account showed the first tickets (Court 2) bought, but the second unpaid.

As you only have 10 minutes to do everything, I then paid again on a Mastercard. Still it showed the tickets unpaid.

The 10 minutes lapsed, and my Ticket History showed only the first purchase.

I spoke to Amex, they confirmed that the payment had been accepted and that I needed to speak to Wimbledon. After 45 minutes got through only to be told I need to speak to the LTA. Used the number given by Wimbledon - that line was currently closed.

So sent an email with a screenshot of the order and the payment on the Amex App - I’m not hopeful …. <wah><wah><wah>

What a shame.
Another hour or so on the phone today then <doh>

Good luck <ok>

Apologies for the late start by me today - nothing to do with tennis - I’ve accepted that the second pair have ‘gone’ - just a shame that it is the Centre Court tickets rather than Court 2, but hey ho, mustn’t grumble as at least we are going once! - problems with iPad to read BS papers. Now resolved.

All ok here and glad that you are both fine!

In the Hawes Inn, South Queensferry (mentioned in Kidnapped), there is a room with bed, chair and desk (and ink pot) where RLS wrote part of both books.
