Reminds me of the one about the American Tourist who walks into Westminster Abbey and is shocked to see a telephone with a sign that said ‘Phone Calls to Heaven £10’ Saw the same sign when he walked into St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh. However, when he walked into Llandaff Cathedral he saw a sign that said ‘Phone Calls to Heaven 10p’ Intrigued, he went up to one of the Vergers and asked ‘Why is it 10p here in Llandaff whilst it is £10 in London and Scotland?’ ‘Ah’ replied the Verger ‘that’s because in Wales it’s a local call ......’
impersonation - Montgomery* * - Monty had a double (M E Clifton James) who carried out a very good impersonation of the Field Marshal
Tender - Rented At Bedford Athletic, match abandoned, referee tripped, fell and broke his leg, now on the way to Bedford General A&E. Such is life in London and South East Premier League. Shame, first live rugby for a long long time. Good luck vs Brentford
That’s awful about the ref - very inconsiderate of him .... Brentford would always have been the opponents .... all we have to do is win tonight .... Rented - Rembrandt* * - could have painted the ref’s misfortune
Only a Rugby Man could say that First time I've been to the Ath in some 15 years, sad thing, I didn't recognise a soul. Rembrandt - Master ** ** Old one of course. I seriously wish you were playing anybody else BUT Brentford tonight. I would love to see them in the PL, but not at your expense
