I was convinced you were going to post that, as you ALWAYS beat me to it Scale - Discombobulated There's the other one...how on earth can I squeeze Mississippi in
Never even crossed my mind After the 2 long meetings this morning, I must be ..... Discombobulated - Llandarcy* * - where NOR (aka BP) built its first oil refinery. Named after its Chairman William Knox D’Arcy (a Scot if memory serves me well.) Dad worked there for 32 years (age 21-53) when he retired.
As you know, we stayed in the Petersham Hotel for the weekend. Walking through the lobby area Sue exclaimed “Gosh, it’s your Dad” Sent this to my Sister, she asked where I found it or had I commissioned a portrait of my Dad. My daughter, son and daughter in law all thought it was my Dad - my grandson saw it and said ‘Grampa David....” It is the founder of the Petersham Hotel - no relation whatsoever!
Yep - at first, standing up close to the portrait, I thought it was a cross between my father and my grandfather. Stepping back - definitely my father. Obviously, not a photographic ‘facsimile’ but as good a painted image as you could get! Clandestine - Lackland* * - other regal nicknames are available
This was the photo we used on the Order of Service for Dad’s burial. His face was fuller than it was over the last 10 years of his life - but hopefully it can give a ‘flavour’ of the likeness
The eyes are the main difference Mr P's look 'vague' whereas your Dad's (although partly hidden) appear to be penetrating and an amused cynicism Lackland (didn't know the nickname) - Calamity ** ** when King John's treasure sank in the Wash
Prince and then King John The profile of the nose is exact, as well as the eyebrows and forehead! Calamity (Jane!) - Calvin* * - other forenames of US Presidents are available, as are other Kleins
Believe it or not, after reading your post, I checked it It really is a crazy league. Baltic - Calculated
