not nice to have to think so, but for a progressing condition, you’ve got to look to the future, and it is also a question of how easy it is to get carers in, which I suspect might be easier for a retirement complex. After all, they all know the place, and it’s probably been designed to be easy to get around Trainspotting Trotters ** ** …and I still remember the five-nil thrashing we gave them at Wembley. Happy days…
The Care system in the U.K. as you get older leaves much to be desired - and can be hugely expensive. At one stage 12 months ago, we (family) were paying out £970/week to private caters to keep my Mother in law at home...... and exactly the same (literally next door) to keep my sister in law at home. Both needed 24 hrs round the clock care..... Clotted - Plotted* * - back to Brexit.....
very good points, Taff, but I would think any need in this situation is not actually avoidable Plotted stotties ** ** other bread-and-filling-based smacks are available on Tyneside
Agreed PH - care is the pre-eminent/priority! Stotties - Mott* * - other Hooples are available, I guess
Great points guys. In our case it is all about forward planning. Plus this specific opportunity may not be available when required. The facility is is run by a charity and promotes independent living Torte - Confetti
It certainly does Taff, plus Kaye will be really happy/relieved so its a no brainer. She will miss her litte garden, but the ground floor apartment has a large patio, with French doors opening on to it Hotter - Lottery ** ** fingers crossed for tonight
Nick, so long as the ‘boss’ is happy, that’s the key criteria! Lottery - Bottled* * - the only safe option for water on holidays!
Yes - and where my mother in law’s Residential Care home is locates! Cottage - Motto Flight home tomorrow 7.10 pm UK Time
The week has flown - our son and daughter in law are with us (incl. ‘bump’) Terracotta - Panacotta* * - Italian theme in the hotel tonight!
Fantastic please log in to view this image Did they tell you before this evening?? Panacotti - Spaghetti
They told us at Wimbledon after the tennis. Very clever - Gilly’s Dad and Liz (Gilly’s Mum passed 22 years ago) and we were having dinner. Sue and I arrived late - the hotel failed to book the taxi for us. When we got there, Andrew asked if I wanted a glass of white .... I said ok, he said have Gilly’s glass, she’s not drinking for 9 months ...... uproar, shrieks as you can imagine! Spaghotti - Motty* * - other commentators are available as are Carpenters (Harry?)
