I think they were both punch drunk, but neither wanted to give in to the other. The device that we are patenting would have detected any concussive incident. Norton - Holmes
Good to hear Taff, about time. You can use it on George North next season Thought they were about 80% dead. Holmes - Lewis
He finally won the title against Seki of Japan, if I remember correctly Winstone - (Colin) Jones* * - as was Winstone, also trained by Eddie Thomas
Did indeed Taff, Eddie Thomas, what a great guy Jones - Owen ** ** Heartbreaking Taff, seems to me that you are a 'Boxing Man'? Me too, did some basic stuff in the Royal Navy, but never good enough OR brave enough. Always followed it, and for 20 odd years lived next door to the Secretary of the British Boxing Board of Control. Loads of tickets, one of the best, ringside atnSugar Ray Leonard v Dave 'boy' Green. Apparently, in the last 40 seconds Sugar Ray hit him 113 times!! Saw Dave a few years ago and asked him a REALLY STUPID question.... First punch- did it hurt Cost me a large Scotch
Actually Nick, I have always enjoyed watching boxing, but have never been to a Professional contest. A former customer (of the Company where I had my first FD role) was President of the Maesteg Amateur Boxing Club, and we took a table at a few Boxing nights - it was great, apart from seeing the small kids (7 or 9 can't remember exactly) .... Some of the kids were being hammered yet were remarkably brave and tried to box on...... Johnny Owen - the Merthyr Matchstick - it was heartbreaking watching him in that fight against Lupe Pintor (didn't google that - there are some things that just 'stick' - no pun intended whatsoever) Owen - (Pat) Thomas* * - went to one of the pubs that I used to frequent when a student in Cardiff Uni. The pub is long gone - it was called The Pig & Whistle!
Another good guy. Amatuer boxing has I think, always been a great outlet for children. Teaches respect AND self respect. Thomas - Dower ** ** Dai, yet another great Welsh boxer
Morning Taff Late on parade I'm afraid - good link Dalgliesh - Dodd ** ** think I may be in the minority here, but I honestly didn't find him in the slightest bit funny. RIP though
OK...had to Google that. Taff, you appear to be fixated with Coronation St characters, yet profess not to watch it. Hmmmm Barlow - Williams ** ** didn't find him funny either, nor the rest of the Carry on stuff
Morning Taff Mallinder eh!! Rugby's getting to be like football, manager fails dismally at one club, then walks into another. Not like the real world is it? Off to No2 son's later, today's theme then, words beginning with S and ending in Y Barrington - Surrey ** ** with or without a fringe on top
I ALWAYS detested meetings, I once, a long time ago, read one of those 'business help' books entitled - Meetings and how to avoid them. Scrappy - Serendipity
