very true Nick, but as any Stoke fan will tell ,anyone that cares to listen, if we take the lead, you can be sure an equaliser is somewhere close at hand
 
As previous posts show..ad nauseum, I am not and never have been a fan of Hughes.
How a centre forward of his calibre cannot as a manager buy and motivate any of our lot is beyond belief. The real problem is in midfield, never replaced N'Zonz and a lack of pace throughout the squad. Oh and of course our master tactician <laugh>

Prediction predilection

No, I feel doomed, Nick, but that is by footballers in general. Seems to me that everything is about getting into the Champions League, and a lot of these players seem to think they will get noticed, and that ultimately that they will end up playing for a team that gets them there. Maybe it’s just me, but there seem to be too many ‘when they feel like it’ players waiting for their next move up the ladder.

Couldn't agree more PH. That's why I have always been a Rugby man at heart, with an diminishing affection for Stoke. These days I would rather stand on the touchline of my local junior Rugby club, pint in hand and see some honest endeavour rather than overpaid prima donna type cheating bastards.

Evening all

Tied up all day in Board & Strategy Meetings - not rugby! Got home packed the suitcases and popped out for something to eat.

Setting off for Gatwick tomorrow, flying on Thursday morning, walking the beach on the left on Friday... God willing.

Pulis is from Newport (I think) so not a Welsh Cockney.....
