I'm not as twp as I look...... <laugh>

The Lions had their chances, right at the start of each half. You must take your chances against the ABs or you suffer the consequences......

See the pundits are saying that Al should be dropped in favour of Itoje. Did they not see the scrum immediately after Al went off........ It went back at a rate of knots, we gave a penalty away and they took it quickly and scored in the corner...... Kruis, on the other hand, was, in my humble opinion, the poorest Lock on the field today.

That said, I would keep Kruis, replace Al with Lawes & play Itoje at blind side. I would also play Tips at open side to combat Kane who was immense today. O'Brien is a 6.5 not a 7.

Trouble is Gats would NEVER pick Tips ahead of Sam.......

    Orinoco - Demolished **

** As were the Lions at the ruck/breakdown. Just when McCaw retires, upsteps Kieran Read. One day Refs will have the cojones to decide which side of the line they are going to look at.
Sour grapes...NO, but the AB's have been getting away with this for far too long (imo). Anyway, they are the real deal and absolutely brilliant, they do not nead to cheat.

Re AWJ -v- Itoje...AWJ for his defensive work, but perhaps Itoje going forward.
Likewise Kruis, but you have to consider who they are up against. And the series was always going to be decided 'up front'
Williams fully justified his incusiin and his break for O'Brien's fantastic try <ok>

I don't think that the Lions can play an awful lot better than that, whereas the AB's can.

With apologies to non Rugby folk <cheers>

    Demolished - Dejected......

As I mentioned earlier, I would pick Maro on the blindside, apart from a few line out takes, I thought that POM was largely anonymous in the loose.

Can't see Al playing for the Lions again. Great innings though, 7 consecutive caps & captain in the series winner against the Aussies 4 years ago.

One of these days, a ref will have the cojones to not only pull them up for (living) offside, but actually send one of them off (when deserved of course!). Amazing to think that Colin Meads (aka Pinetree) was the last All Black to be dismissed - was it against Scotland in '67 or '69?

Agreed...POM had one game for Ireland, cos someone was injured, had a blinder and all of a sudden captain of the Lions...Hmmmm.
As you know Taff there is a very fine dividing line between legal and non and in my opinion the AB's cross that line too frequently per game and in my mind, that is. sanctioned & instututionalised cheating.

Cobra tonight - can't say I'm a great fan. More a Guinness or Bitter man myself. That said, a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot is my favourite tipple <cheers>

Not a fan of any lager or red wine. Bitter and Gin are my poisons of choice.
