Okay now, 25cm of really heavy snow last Wed led to a power outage, followed by another 20cm on Thu - tough slogging for me on our driveway, and again after the plough passed later in the day and clogged up the entrance. Glad to say my snowblower, that would not start Wed (had been pre tested after I discovered parts of the fuel cap in the fuel tank, that I had to drain to extract), just wouldn't fire with the hand pull (no power for electric start), but it started Thu, but was blowing poorly due to one of the twin auger shear pins breaking (fixed myself -a $1 part). Another 15 - 20cm forecast for later this week - tis the season - hard work at soon to be 63 though, just have to pace yourself - on the bright side life insurance in place if I throw a heart attack and 3x life accidental death & disability insurance if I get hit by the snow plough! Yesterday took a trip 30 mins out of town with my daughter to pick out an 8ft Christmas tree in deep snow woodlot (I've been going to the same place for 25 years) - hard to choose though when they are all full of snow & ice. What happened to the Swans yesterday at Spurs - after the lord mayors show last week?
Thankfully no snow for us as yet. As for the Swans, our lack of player investment (due up the former owners focussing on selling the Club) and the new owners appointing a Yank as Manager means we are heading out of the PL and into the Championship. The games between now and the New Year (in theory) are winnable - but the way we are playing.....
