I don't think any UTD fan thinks the Cups we won are the top tier cups. The PL and CL are the 2 most important trophies. You could call the other 3 Mickey Mouse, but I only think you can get away with that if you have won one of the 2 major trophies.
A club who has won nothing, is in no position to say either of the trophies we won are Mickey Mouse.
Any Liverpool fan who says they would rather have finished 4th and won nothing is a liar.
You have an empty trophy cabinet, and a tricky CL qualifier to have to get through. So there's no doubt we have had a much better season.

Owen gave you the best years of his career, scoring you loads of goals, winning quite a few trophies. Including the Mickey Mouse treble
All jokes a side though he owed Liverpool nothing when he left, as he served you well in his time with you, and didn't cost you a penny to buy.
Let's not forget he did play for us aswell, so I think he's quite entitled to say we, when we are playing a foriegn side. I could understand people's point if he said it during a United, Liverpool game. But it was one of his old teams against a Dutch side who he has no affiliation with. So it's only normal for him to want us to win.
Denis Law and Peter Schmeichel went and played for City after they left us. Law even relegated us, but you'd still be hard pressed to find a United fan who is in anyway bitter towards either player.
Both players are still legends to us.

Exactly. I liked it a few seasons ago when both Liverpool and Man Utd wete at the top battling for the same trophies. That's true rivalry and that's what makes the game excitingly.
Wish I was old enough to remember the 80s and is baling it out with Everton.
Last those clubs earnt the right to be wete they are. Not like Chelsea and Man City who both bought a place.

I think there were 2 main reasons why Fowler was adored and Owen wasn't. Firstly because it felt to most as if Owen loved playing for England as much as Liverpool, if not that little bit more, while Fowler, much like Carra, seemed pretty indifferent to England. Also I'm guessing the fans on the Kop felt Fowler was someone they could relate to, a bit of a cheeky chappy from Toxteth. Owen by comparison was not very easy to relate to, as proven by his lack of rapport with the working class fan bases of Newcastle & Liverpool.
And where did I say he couldn't score?
Fowler was the opposite; could do most things but severely lacked pace.
What a player we'd have had if we'd been able to combine the best attributes from Fowler & Owen

Not over 5 yards he didn't![]()
The reason I think differently is that I think we have progressed a bit this season and I don't think they have, despite the cups.I think the fact that Utd are in the CL and we still have to qualify swings it for me to swap seasons. Normally I'd be all over the cups as a reason but I think it was important that we got into the top 4 this season but I'm not turning into a Gooner and putting 4th over cups long term.

However if they gel next season they did what was needed and bagged potsThe reason I think differently is that I think we have progressed a bit this season and I don't think they have, despite the cups.
