Yes the move has worked out very nicely for Cardiff! Maybe this will finally be your year for promotion. Lets face it autos has to be the aim given your playoff record.
Trotter might go to the Prem, can't see us doing any deal with Leicester any time soon. Taylor to Leeds?

Haha ****ing quality except 2:00-2:20 where it started to take the piss but other than that funny and pretty much true.
Wood has proven to be an excellent player for us. Until he shows he can do the same for Leicester I wouldn't get to excited, potentially a great signing but you may have got yourselves a Torres!
TBH I'm not that bothered about not getting Wood - don't get me wrong I would have loved him to sign for us - but at the right price. The reported 2 mil that the crisp boys are paying (1.25 plus 750 in add ons) just shows why shopping in January can be a ruinous move for a club - when you factor in wages (we were gonna pay him 20k a week) so over a three year contract that 5 mil. Now if JB was prepared to fork that out fair play to him, but what happens when other players contracts are running out and the club want to renew them - the likes of Trotts, Henderson, Keogh, Henry would probably ask to be on parity with Wood, and the others would expect a decent pay rise. We've seen this type of things happen at other clubs and we all know the results. It could be a blessing in disguise we could get 2 or 3 decent players for that type of money and strengthen all round rather than in just one position, and not necessarily in Jan maybe wait for summer when we wont have to pay inflated prices - but get it done early rather than wait until 2 days before the window closes aka Austin. Yes we do need another quality striker cos we only got Hendo and Keogh really, the rest are makeweights, but both are injury prone, so if we can't get somebody like Church, then go for a decent loan, I'm sure the top clubs have young strikers chomping at the bit to play regularly just like Kane was and look at the job he did, and they wouln't cost too much in the way of loan fees. Go get em Kenny
I agree Grumpy - In the last 3/4 seasons KJ has found us a January loan gem - Simpson, Puncheon, Townsend and Kane - fully expect him to do the same this season
Couldn't agree more Grumps especially your first paragraph as we've been down that road before and please god never again Like you say all the other players will want wage parity or near parity so if they don't get it then there would be a good chance our dressing room spirit will suffer through jealousy and that togetherness is the only thing that keeps us punching above our weight so we'd be ****ed without it!
Personally I don't think Wood is going to have the impact a Leicester that he had for us, and that's not being bitter. His first touch is not that great (certainly not the touch of a 2 mil player) and Leicester rely on quick accurate passing game so it could break down with him but having said that he will get on the end of crosses and through balls - but will be surprised if he scores as many in 22 as he did for us in 19 - will just have to wait and see.
They've still got no fight in the middle of the park which is what they need most as the crisp boys we're saying after losing to us so you can understand their interest in del boy - when he's not having a lazy day that is! Jimmy has the fight more consistently but is always under the radar so good for us as opposed to del boy's physicality an presence. Crisp boys biggest problem though is their no plan b manager
As TC says KJ has a good track record with getting good loan signings in. Maybe this is the way to go, get someone looking to prove themselves on a short term contract then let them go. Certainly cheaper. Also clubs will want to loan players to us as we seem to bring out the best in them meaning the parent club can get a decent fee when they do sell them.
So basically Andy unless Leicester go up and he is a 1st team regular like he was here he's made a poor decision
Exactly but on £20k a week for 3 & 1/2 years! Think it was Grumps who said no guarantee of regular footy being rotated so back to square one for him?
But because we have a small gate we can't really afford to be spending £1m+ on a single player. As someone mentioned when the contracts of other players are coming to an end they would expect the same as what Wood would have been on. Then we would have to either offer them more than we could afford or sell them for less than their real value or risk them going for nothing.
