"b teams are not allowed to be promoted.
there are clear rules about this in Spain."

is that a spanish rule or a eufa rule though?

you know as well as i do our fa make the rules up to suit themselves as and when it pleases them.

It's a model.

The reality is who would actually want it?

Real and Barca show zero interest in having b teams in laliga.

It's a bridge from u18s to seniors. Not somewhere for Chelsea to horde 40 more players.

It's also a place where zidane cut his teeth before moving to seniors.

Gerrard could manage lfc in league 1 and not rangers....

I just see both sides and genuinely feel more clubs would feel a benefit of travelling fans than we would see clubs hurt.

Frankly the championship would be a huge struggle for these teams as clubs like Fulham, Boro, villa etc etc etc are way bigger than a few thousand fans following a bunch of kids cos tickets are cheap.

Honestly I see huge benefits for lfc all over b teams. Proper league football, no cups but fans who can't getting Anfield could get a cheap ticket and see b team in action for example. We would control the development of players like woodbur.

Wilson would have played 100 league games by now etc etc etc

I've never given this much thought as it's never seemed a realistic prospect.
Off the top of my head: What would the restrictions be? Can't be promoted to the league division that the parent club is in? Can't enter cup competitions the parent club is in? Anything else to prevent conflict of interest?
It seems to me (though I'm open to argument) that it just takes away valuable league spots from lower clubs, and is only in the interests of the big ones.
Anyway, I'm against the big clubs hoovering up all the talent and loaning it out as an attempt to manipulate the league and I would like to see some restrictions in place on the number of players a club is allowed to loan out. This would naturally reduce the numbers of players clubs retain without any real intention of playing them.

In Spain

a) cannot be in division of a team or in higher division either.

b) they cannot compete in copa del rey.

c) a 4 tier model of 20 league teams was proposed. right now frankly a 46 game season clogs lower league players anyway but there would be some revenue hit there.

d) I agree on loans you are quite right.

e) players who play for b team cannot play for a team that season.

Look at current Wales squad

Wayne Hennessey (Crystal Palace), Danny Ward (Leicester City), Adam Davies (Barnsley).

Ashley Williams (Stoke City, on loan from Everton), James Chester (Aston Villa), Ben Davies (Tottenham Hotspur), Chris Gunter (Reading), Connor Roberts (Swansea City), Christopher Mepham (Brentford), Jazz Richards (Cardiff City), Ethan Ampadu (Chelsea), Paul Dummett (Newcastle United), Declan John (Swansea City).

Joe Allen (Stoke City), Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal), Andy King (Leicester City), David Brooks (Bournemouth), Matthew Smith (FC Twente, on loan from Manchester City).

Gareth Bale (Real Madrid), Ben Woodburn (Sheffield United, on loan from Liverpool), Harry Wilson (Derby County, on loan from Liverpool), Tom Lawrence (Derby County), Sam Vokes (Burnley), George Thomas (Scunthorpe United, on loan from Leicester City), Tyler Roberts (Leeds United).

Woodbur n is supposedly in squad though I've not checked tbh.

Look at who Wales have to pick for first 11. Bale i think was out. Wilson hot a game, Sam vokes played.

It was quite a defensive system with Ramsey up higher and 3 at back which in effects 5-3-2 formation.

Gigg s subbed on Brooks and Smith, who I know piss all about. And Lawrence too.

So clearly woodbur was about the only forward not thrown on
.

But he was there.

Again should look at woodbur and ask what did he do to attract highs attention to put him in.

Imo he can't be doing it in training.
Brooks & Smith are Midfielders the only forward put on was Lawrence.

Like fishing perchance?
nope personally think it is a stupid "sport" . Still remember some bloke laughing at me for walking the dog when it was raining . His "you must be mad" comment seemed more appropriately aimed at himself since he was at that moment standing not only in the rain but thigh deep in a river FFS.
The reservoir comment was because most of the water for Birmingham traditionally came from Wales . Practically their only export apart from mutton :bandit:

The fishing comment was that you are fishing for some of our favourite sheep worries right now ;)
