England will get punished by Norway if they play like this. They were very good against Australia.

Anyone else looking forward to the soap opera after the whistle goes? This game isn't going away too quickly.

The referee needed to stamp her authority on this more. Especially with all the rough play, drama and hysterics from the Cameroon team.

Extraordinary match, didn’t think they would finish it a few times.
Shame the Cameroon goal got disallowed, it was so marginal, it could have come down to when the pause button was hit. Referee must have felt sorry for them to not award the penalty

I didn't think you could get a yellow card after a VAR for possible red card? Either red or nothing? Or has that changed?

That game was a joke, because of the referee. It was like she literally did not want to make a decision... on anything.

She only actually gave any big calls when the VAR caused her to do so.

How the dirty play and dissent was allowed to get so out of hand was ridiculous.

Yep, she should be embarrassed. Totally lost her authority early on.

I have some sympathy for Cameroon. Who would have thought VAR would get so many decisions right?

The concept of var is a good one, but of course fifa are incompetent so the implementation of it has been a bit rubbish.

Nothing has changed. You still can't use VAR to review a yellow card. But, if during the course of using VAR to review a red card, the referee realises it should have been a yellow card, then a yellow card can be given. (It would be somewhat perverse if they realised a yellow card should be given, but then weren't allowed to give it.)

That exact thing happened with Ronaldo at the WC last year, when they used VAR to review whether he should have been sent off for an elbow.
