I don't have a problem with how VAR handles offsides and the marginal calls.

It gives a clear result pretty much every time which I like. Speed it up a bit and I'd be happy with that.

I thought we were supposed to be a nation with a good sense of humour and be able to laugh and take the piss out of ourselves. This is not an offensive celebration, it's quite pathetic that this is even a thing that people are getting offended about*.

Disrespectful to poke fun at the losers in any competition....fans do it, rarely players. However, in general people are too quick to take offence, but these are often a minority and/or media. I often read articles about 'outrageous' behaviour and then you go down to the part where people can vote about the incident....almost invariably the views of the readers are much more level headed than the clickbait title would lead you to believe. Social media is enjoyed by many, but sadly gives a voice to the stupid and allows them to contact each other and reinforce their stupidity and prejudices.

I like it. Look back through the history of the men's world cup and you see the third and fourth placings, and some of them are really interesting. I suppose my interest is academic rather than from a supporters point of view.

One of those players was angry with Neville....saying she was proud of her bronze medal and resented him calling it a nothing game. The Swedish players looked happy enough to win. Many events at the Olympics have 3/4th playoffs....better to get something than nothing. It may be what he thinks, but Neville would have done better to keep his mouth shut.
