Fingers crossed Brazil go out now, they seem a bit entitled at times. Hope Henry bangs in one from 40 yards out, she's excellent from long range.

Jonathan Pearce has to be the worst commentator for womens football, not a red for that foul at the end? It sounded like she broke her leg in the initial contact too so I was glad she could even walk after it. Every match he is on at Sue Smith about the woman of the match award, there is no way he would talk to a male co com like that. Absolute tool. Well done to Phil Neville after the match, what a great interview.
He seems to be trying to flirt with Sue Smith most of the time, she should tell him to **** off.

I said VAR would be a sack of $hit.

I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so.
What puzzles me is why does the referee get to make a judgement call a second time after reviewing the video evidence ? It's a conflict of interest situation - do they really honestly want to make themselves look bad ? It should be a second independent neutral decision maker who gives the final call.
There have been some horrendous calls by refs in this tournament.

The whole competition has become a farce as it is all about the referees now. I was watching it all avidly but have now switched off mainly, stupid on field decisions and endless lengthy stoppages to review VAR. Lets hope to f**k it is not adopted in this format football wide :headbang:

We’ll be getting ad breaks in the reviews soon
Mark my words!!!

I'd be quite happy to not have VAR at all , the only really useful recent innovation is goal line technology

If you are going to stop the game all the time and have to wait to have every goal confirmed you at least have to get the decisions right
in the end . This women's world cup has been a disaster for that .

I feel sorry for her, she's a good pundit on Sky sometimes but is having to be professional with him. There is no way he would talk to a male commentator in the same tone or generally

It was that bellend off of Robot Wars, wasn't it?

He makes me miss Clive Tyldesley sometimes.
He's on tonight with Sue Smith. Listen out particularly for when she has to pick the best player and his comments. He's already going on about players spouses, like he would do that in the mens game.

Unfortunately it's a penalty based on the recent changes to the handball rule. Which is bollocks, because she literally couldn't have done anything about it.
She was quite clearly trying to move her arm out of the way too.
Shades of Liverpool's first against Spurs.
