At the end of the day if the quality isn’t as good but the entertainment is better and they are a winning team, that will do for me.

Good start to the new season. We were beaten twice by Durham last season, so a 1-1 draw at their place is a big improvement. OaU

The 33-year-old scored a record 52 goals for the Lionesses and helped them win Euro 2022.

She has had a great career, and retires right at the top. I thought her display in the final was outstanding.

Ellen White has been a very good role model for the women's game. She's never been the type to hog the limelight, so I doubt she'll go into punditry, but I hope she remains in the game in some capacity.
Currently England's record goal scorer with 52 goals in 113 games, although Beth Mead (28 in 44) could well take her crown.
Fortunately for England, we have excellent youngsters coming through, who can learn a lot about how to conduct themselves both on and off the pitch from Ellen.
I wish her all the best in her retirement.

That lady has been brilliant in all kinds of ways. Be nice to think she comes and coaches with us, but that is just romantic on my part.

How well Jill is thought of in the game was highlighted right through the Euros campaign. Massive cheers every time she entered the field of play.

An absolute legend in the women's game and one who has not forgotten her roots. I would love her to be part of Mel Reay's coaching team.

Enjoy your retirement Jill. I think you'll be in big demand.

aye I am, the bairn wanted to do - she’s a good keeper for a lasses team and just getting into it

it’s ****e mind, some good technical players but it’s slow as ****, some crunching tackles gone in as well,
we’ve not had a shot at goal yet though, can’t see me staying the full 90

Aye, it needs the brain re-tuning to a degree as it's not the quickest as you say. They give their all and can't be faulted for effort. I think Birmingham were relegated from the league above last season. Have many fans stayed back?

Just had a call from my god daughter in overseas. She has been smashing womens football out there and already played for her adopted country. She has just been signed for a top English team. I am so proud I could burst. I get to see my best mate more, and his family, and I cant wait to watch her progress. Buzzing here. Time for the malt if ever there was one.
