Good finish there, but pretty woeful defending. Pretty little scouse bird as well, quite tasty.

As for the rest, what a boring game. What was the thread on here? "Could Hope Powell manage a men's team", get to ****. Clueless tactically, technique lacking, no fitness. One of the worst games I've seen in a long while (apart from the last one). The crowd!!! Man, they did my head in. I thought incessant na,na,naering whilst ringing a bell was the pits, but screaming like a load of Justin Beiber fans, truly awful.

If this is top level chick football, I dread to think what Skate ladies and the other run of the mill sides are like.

The BBC really need to have a good hard look at themselves and hopefully this will be the last sport given valuable airtime because of political correctness.

Hopefully the Scouse bit might score a few more and get a Nuts or FHM photo-shoot, she deserves it for her play (head and shoulders above the others, why on the bench) and her looks.

Great, with each and every match that takes place, more and more damage is done to the women's game. Wtf happened to be England? They used to be good.

I'm not physically attracted to male footballers, although if I HAD to if a gun was pointed to me, I'd "happily" be Rickie Lambert's bitch.

Been aware of Ms Oatley's attractiveness for a while now, plus she's a good luck charm for Saints. She's all round good.

Wouldn't it be discrimitive if the BBC employed only "unattractive" presenters for their studio? (mind you, MOTD does pretty well at that I guess)

Well, much like the England men's side, they can be flat track bullies in qualifiers, but bottle it when it matters.

Although it does seem despite record funding and more media attention than ever right now... the "flagship" team seems to be doing worse than ever.

I'm going to give them one more (oh matron)...................chance to impress me, before I withdraw my support for the national team. I believe the game is on Friday, which is handy as Mrs Duck is going out so I'll get more chance to concentrate.

They really need to get Toni on from the start don't they Lapras, what is Powell playing at. Do you think there's any jealously involved?

    Gaston's quite attractive.

Hey, you can't fully withdraw your support from England, where's your patriotism? As **** is the men are, and as disillusioned I am with the entire men's England team, I still support them and want them to win.

I don't really go for the rugged man/bear look.

Although saying that, Nate Drake hmmmm

Agreed the England game was awful. Ducky, you might be wise to check the France vs Spain game currently on BBC3. The quality of football is rather higher.

I can support who the hell I like. Its only a fun game, sort of like " It's a knockout " in that it only a bit of fun. Serious stuff I would support England. Anyway if that halfwit Powell keeps leaving the prettiest bird on the bench what hope have we got (pun intended). Toni needs to start Friday from both a sporting angle and a eye candy angle. I'm see Powell leaves her on the bench cause she's jealous of the attention she'll get.

Popped in for two minutes to see how England play. Appalling is the word. Actually, remarkably similar to the blokes. France looked as though they could score at will and... have done so.

    I won't go back. It'll be embarrassing.

The Women's team is the same as the men's team and the u21s....we qualify well for tournaments, but then don't perform.

You know, neutral fans who rarely watch any women's football will probably see this and think if this is the best England has to offer, women's football must be terrible and won't bother going to see their local club. They're the teams that are going to be damaged by this.

Have to say, France have been the best I've seen thus far. Pace, good passing and everyone seems to know what they are doing. Bloody miracle its only 1-0 to them at HT. England have done nothing, but are still in it.

No clue as to what formation Hope Powell is using, at one stage they had 2 at the back!

Seems like Michael Gray is also a big fan of Hope 'tactical genius' Powell.

With every passing minute, women's football is more and more damaged (but not in France). Can't believe how appalling they've been, talking about a wasted opportunity.
